NCP Secure Enterprise Failsafe Server

Your full-coverage insurance against system failures

Remote Access Projects with only a single Secure Gateway require a second look at "worst-case scenarios". These days, system malfunctions interrupting communication paths can no longer be accepted. This is where reliable automation mechanisms are required, which guarantee the highest level of availability.

First, an additional Secure Gateway must be installed as a backup system, to avoid downtimes or system failures. The NCP Secure Enterprise Failsafe Server (FS-Server). monitors the primary system and handles the automatic switchover to the backup system in case of malfunction. Malfunctions are always considered present, if for instance, the Secure Gateway no longer responds, if there is hardware failure (power supply, LAN adapters, motherboards etc.) operating system malfunctions, program crashes, or if the connection to the FS Server is interrupted. This applies as well if a gateway is switched off, when performing maintenance services, for instance. Naturally, the Failsafe Sever is also designed redundantly for security reasons.

For failsafe operation, the software is installed on the Security Gateway Systems. The system is configured via the High Availability Manager (delivered with the product), which can be setup on any console computer in the LAN.

The Secure Enterprise FS Server software can optionally be extended through simple updates and upgrades with additional functionalities and additional users.
